Children at a Fife nursery school have been told to self-isolate after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.
Youngsters at Lochgelly West Nursery have been asked not to attend on Thursday and to self-isolate until September 28.
They should return to nursery on Tuesday September 29.
NHS Fife said there was no evidence of any transmission within the nursery and that the risk to pupils and other staff was low.
The announcement follows confirmation on Tuesday of a case linked to St John’s Primary in Rosyth, where pupils in P7a and P7b have been told to isolate until September 24 and return to school the following day.
All other children at the school should continue to attend if they remain well.
In all, six Fife schools and nurseries have confirmed cases of Covid-19 since the start of term.
Single cases have been detected at Queen Anne High School and Masterton Primary in Dunfermline, Capshard Primary, Kirkcaldy, and Newburgh Primary School nursery.
No evidence of transmission within the schools has been found.
NHS Fife said anyone who develops any of the established symptoms of the virus, such as a fever, or a loss or change in taste or smell, or a new and continuous cough, should arrange testing using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal at www.nhs.uk/ask-for-a-coronavirus-test or by calling 0800 028 2816.
