A young biker was taken to hospital on Monday following a collision with two cars.
The man, said to be around 20, is believed to have suffered leg injuries in the crash at around 11.25am in Methil.
Local councillor John O’Brien, who witnessed the accident on Kirkland Walk, said the biker had gone flying across the road.
He added that the rider had just bought the bike that morning.
“I heard all the noise and commotion and when I looked up the boy was spinning across the road,” he said.
“There were two cars involved. It looks like the bike and one of the cars have been written off.”
Police Scotland confirmed the biker had been taken by ambulance to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, following the collision but were unable to confirm details of his condition.
The accident is the latest in a number of incidents involving motorbikes in the Levenmouth area.
Police and local politicians have been running a campaign to improve safety and clamp down on illegal vehicles.
