A popular Fife restaurant closed after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19 has been given the all clear to reopen.
The Bonnybank Inn, in the small village of Bonnybank near Kennoway, closed as a precaution on Friday after a one of the kitchen staff was confirmed as having the virus.
Tests have been carried out on all remaining staff members and all have returned negative results.
The tex-mex restaurant has announced it will open again on Wednesday.
Management confirmed in a statement that the person with the virus was feeling well and had not been in the restaurant for a week before he developed symptoms at university.
No other staff have shown any symptoms.
They said everyone was looking forward to getting back to work.
“We are back from Wednesday, getting back to what we do best, serving you the best Mexican food you can find,” they said.
“Thank you all for your amazing messages of support, it helped us like you wouldn’t believe.”
The Bonnybank Inn has put in place rigorous safety checks including temperature checks on customers, hand sanitisers on the doors, cleaning stations, face masks and regular handwashing.
