Fife theatres will be lit up in red on Wednesday evening to show support for the live events industry.
The switch-on at OnFife venues is part of Red Alert – Stand as One, a global campaign to raise awareness in support of the sector, which employs more than a million people in the UK, all of whom have had no work since March.
It is likely events will not restart until at least the spring.
OnFife’s director of creative development Michelle Sweeney said: “We are only too aware of the dire situation faced not only by live events but the culture sector as a whole.
“We hope that when people see one of our theatres lit up on Wednesday night it will be a reminder that we are still here and still need your support.”
The Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy, Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline, Lochgelly Centre, and Rothes Hall in Glenrothes will be lit in red from 8pm to 11pm on Wednesday.
