A search squad involving a police helicopter, coastguard and lifeboat teams has been searching for missing Kirkcaldy man Stuart Craig.
Mr Craig, 26, was last seen near Victoria Hospital on Yetholm Way at around 10:45pm on Friday.
He had set off on a grey and red coloured bicycle from Dunsire Street at around 10:30pm.
It is not clear what route Stuart took however officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw him and say his disappearance is out of character.
An extensive search operation, involving the coastguard and RNLI, is now being concentrated in Kirkcaldy as well as the stretch of coastline between Leven and Kinghorn.
Specialist police units have also been brought in, including a helicopter and search dog units.
Officers have renewed their appeal for information and want to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken with Mr Craig.
He is described as 6ft 6in tall, of slim build, with a pierced lip and eyebrow, a tattoo of a spider on his right elbow and a tattoo of a flaming skull on his left forearm.
Mr Craig was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a grey hooded top, blue jeans and dark boots.
Community Inspector for Kirkcaldy Graeme Neill said: “Our concern for Stuart is growing by the hour and we want to hear from anyone who may have seen him or who has information on his whereabouts.
“From our inquiries we believe Stuart may be in the Kirkcaldy area or may have travelled to the Fife coastline, which he knows very well.
“We believe that Stuart was on his bike, which has quite distinctive markings and I would ask anyone who has seen this bike to come forward immediately.
“Again, if Stuart sees this appeal, I would ask him to contact either police or your family to let us know you are okay.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or speak to any officer.”
