A young boy has been taken to hospital following an accident on a Fife zebra crossing.
It is understood the youngster was crossing Methilhaven Road, outside the Co-op, with his mother and brother at around 10.30am when they were hit by a car.
An ambulance was called and the injured boy was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
Police were unable to reveal the extent of the child’s injuries but witnesses said he appeared to be walking wounded.
The road was closed and arrangements have been made to recover the vehicle.
