NHS Fife has confirmed that six people with links to a seafood processing company in Fife have tested positive for Covid-19.
The confirmed cases are all relating to Mowi Company plant at Admiralty Park in Rosyth.
The company, which formally traded as Marine Harvest, employs around 500 people.
A spokesperson for NHS Fife said its health protection team is currently looking into potential links between the cases, however there is no evidence at this stage to suggest widespread transmission of the virus amongst staff working at the facility.
The health board added: “Contact tracers from the Test and Protect Team are in the process of identifying and tracing the known contacts of the positive cases to provide public health support and advice.
“It is important that anyone experiencing the well-established symptoms of Covid-19, such as a high temperature; a new, continuous cough; or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste, arranges to be tested using the UK Government Citizens’ Portal or by calling 0800 028 2816.”
