A man was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a marked police car in Kirkcaldy.
Paramedics could be seen assisting the casualty as he lay on the tarmac in Abbotshall Road at around lunchtime on Thursday.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that a marked police car was involved in a collision with a pedestrian on East Fergus Place in Kirkcaldy at around 12:30pm on Thursday, April 28.
“A man has been taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“Enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this incident are ongoing and any witnesses who have not already come forward are asked to contact police on 101.”
Police closed off a section of the road between the Esso filling station and East Fergus Place.
Traffic was diverted from the scene.
The man was described as being conscious and breathing after the incident.
