‘Sunshine on Leith’ will officially open the new community cinema in Gauldry, it has been confirmed.
The film, an adaptation of the stage musical of the same name, is expected to be shown in the Village Hall at 7pm on May 20, and will mark a significant milestone in the project.
The cinema has been made possible thanks largely to Lottery Awards for All funding, with £5,000 helping those behind the initiative to install equipment in the hall.
An electrician and joiner from the village also donated their time to the project.
Organiser Jack Cockin revealed he has invited Craig and Charlie Reid from The Proclaimers, who famously sang Sunshine on Leith, to the opening.
