One of Scotland’s oldest golf clubs will celebrate its 200th anniversary next year with an exhibition at the British Golf Museum.
The St Andrews Thistle Golf Club is seeking historic documents, photographs and anecdotes to include both in the exhibition and in a new hard-backed book.
The club now has 250 national and international members, with honorary members including Old Tom Morris and 1988 Masters’ champion Sandy Lyle.
Anyone who can help with next year’s exhibition is asked to email the chairman of the 200th anniversary sub-committee, Jim Knox, at jimk1509@talktalk.net.
