Teenager appears on Lochgelly attempted murder charge

A 19-year-old man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder following an incident in Lochgelly at the weekend.
Keiran McAlpine, from Lochgelly, faces a charge of attempted murder by stabbing 22-year-old George Courts on Saturday.
McAlpine and a 16-year-old male from Lochgelly are also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
They appeared together in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court, making no plea or declaration and were committed for further examination. Both were granted bail.
Mr Courts rushed to hospital following the incident at around 9.55pm on Saturday night outside the Premier Stores in Francis Street.
