An investigation has been launched after around 100 tyres were found dumped at a picturesque Fife beauty spot.
Fife Coast and Countryside Trust is looking into the matter after the tyres were discovered beside the Craigmead car park near East Lomond.
The tyres were left strewn on grass near a picnic area popular with visitors and walkers.
The Trust helps to look after the Lomond Hills, an area designated as Scotland’s first regional park in 1986.
A Trust spokesperson said officials were aware of the tyres and were working with Fife Council to remove them as soon as possible.
“Fly-tipping spoils the experience for both visitors and residents across Fife, and Fife Coast and Countryside Trust urges visitors to the Kingdom’s great outdoors to treat these areas with respect and report any fly-tipping to the local council,” the spokesperson added.
“At FCCT, we manage, maintain and preserve wide areas of the countryside of Fife, promoting responsible access to our wonderful and diverse outdoor sites.”
