Four people have been arrested following a stand-off in Fife.
Officers were called to Sutherland Place in Kirkcaldy at around 8am on Wednesday to reports of a “disturbance”.
The four people in the flat made threats to the officers while refusing to leave the property.
Police negotiators were required to end the situation.
Locals reported up to 12 police vehicles were on scene at the height of the incident.
It is unclear whether the four people arrested, two men and two women, are part of the same household.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 8am on Wednesday October 21 2020, police received a report of a disturbance at a flat in Sutherland Place, Kirkcaldy.
“Officers attended and four people were within a flat making verbal threats to officers and refusing to come out.
“Specialist resources were used to resolve the situation and two men and two women were arrested.
