Amazon Dunfermline has made a £1,000 donation to a local riding school that promotes the use of horses to develop life skills of people with learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre, which is located six miles from the Fife fulfilment centre, provides tuition in riding and related activities to people of all ages with physical disabilities, medical conditions, learning difficulties and youngsters on the autistic spectrum.
The £1,000 donation will go towards supporting the local therapy riding centre continue to work with people in Fife and Clackmannanshire who use the facilities to enhance self-esteem, confidence and life skills through the medium of horses.
Yvonne Watson, from Shiresmill Riding Centre, commented: “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and support of Amazon’s Dunfermline team.
“This donation will go towards feeding and stabling the ponies and horses, purchasing equipment and maintaining the facilities used by those who ride with us.”
