St Andrews Chorus and Anstruther Philharmonic rehearsing at Holy Trinity Church Hall.
Scores of singers gathered in St Andrews to begin preparations for a huge choral work to mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme.
In all 70 singers from Waid Academy, St Andrews Chorus and Anstruther Philharmonic will join voices on Memorial Ground, which has been written by Oscar-nominated American composer David Land.
For the first workshop the singers joined members of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus under the direction of chorus master Gregory Batsleer.
It will enjoy its world premiere on July 2 in Cambo Potato Barn as part of the East Neuk Festival
