The brand new Fife Science Festival kicked off in Cowdenbeath at the weekend.
Showcasing the wonders of science, covering everything from animals, forensics, gaming, ecology, to lasers and light-based technologies, it encourages visitors to get hands-on with science.
For anyone who has wondered what it is like to be an astronaut, firefighter or CSI investigator, their questions were answered in workshops.
Funded by the Scottish Government, Shell UK and Fife Council, the mobile festival offers diverse range of free activities for the public, all coordinated by Dundee Science Centre.
The festival moves on to the Rothes Halls in Glenrothes this weekend, May 14 and 15.
