A Fife man has appeared in court charged in connection with the robbery of a 79-year-old pensioner in broad daylight.
Colin Clark, 47, whose address was given as Leven, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on a petition alleging robbery.
He made no plea or declaration and the case was committed for further examination, with Clark also being remanded in custody pending a second appearance within the next eight days.
His court hearing comes after a 79-year-old woman was pushed to the ground on a path between North Street and Nairn Street in Leven at around 9am on Tuesday.
Her assailant then took a Morrison’s carrier bag containing all of her groceries and ran-off in the direction of William Laing Crescent.
