NHS Fife said the amount of people affected by the outbreak in Balcurvie Ward at Cameron Hospital, Windygates, had gone up by seven in a week. It follows an initial cluster of five patients and staff on October 30. Enhanced cleaning and decontamination remains in place to reduce the opportunity for further spread of the virus. Visiting has been suspended since the first cases were identified, other than for those receiving end-of-life care. The move to suspend visiting has since been extended to all Fife hospitals following an increase in transmission rates across the region.
