Pupils at a Fife school are determined to remember the fallen this Remembrance Day, despite social distancing restrictions.
Levenmouth Academy is displaying dozens of poppies made by students in the front windows of the school, alongside the message “Lest We Forget”.
More than 100 have been made and they are also on show in classrooms and offices.
Senior pupils will lead a virtual remembrance service at the school on Wednesday, which will be beamed by video link to classes to allow others to participate.
Wreaths will be laid at the school’s memorial on behalf of students and the Levenmouth community, and a minute’s silence will be held to honour those who died serving their country.
Teacher Claire Mcleod said: “Levenmouth Academy cannot have its annual Remembrance service and concert due to current restrictions.
“We therefore decided to show that we are still part of the community, and recognising Remembrance Day, by displaying the poppy in a window in every classroom of the school.”
