Bloomin' lovely - Chairwoman Mary Law with the Azalea Flowers in the gardens of Elmwood College.
Everything is coming up roses for Cupar!
The market town has been given the blooming marvellous news it has been named Britain in Bloom’s top town, seven months after it was pipped at the post by Falmouth in Cornwall.
An administrative error by the competition’s organisers in October saw the English town entered in the wrong category.
Now the mistake has been realised, the award has come north and was presented to delighted members of Cupar in Bloom this week.
It is not clear where the blunder leaves Falmouth but Mary Law from Cupar in Bloom said: “It’s a great achievement for our town and we’re thrilled.”
