The Fife Fisherman’s Association (FFA) has become a member of the Scottish Fisherman’s Federation (SFF) after its application to join was unanimously accepted.
The FFA, which currently consists of a diverse fleet of 36 boats involved in prawn trawling, creel fisheries and surf clam fisheries, becomes the 10th constituent association in membership of the SFF.
Tom Mackenzie of the FFA said: “The time is right for our Association to sign up to the SFF as our members see the benefits of the wide range of representation the SFF can offer in an increasingly complex environment, including the advent of renewables and the Marine Protected Area legislation.”
