Police in Fife have arrested and charged five people following the recovery of over £10,000 worth of drugs in Kelty.
Officers searched an address on Keltyhill Avenue on Thursday May 12 and discovered heroin powder worth £2,400, mephedrone powder worth £6,280, cannabis resin worth £1,000 and diazepam tablets worth £450.
A 35-year-old man, two men aged 29, and two women, aged 29 and 24, have been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and are expected to appear at court at a later date.
Sergeant Kathryn Fairfield, of Dunfermline said: “The sale and use of controlled drugs not only endangers individuals but is detrimental to the whole community.
“We’re committed to acting on information we receive from the public and would urge anyone with concerns about drugs in their community to get in touch.”
