A Lochore man who was caught growing cannabis plants worth over £4700 in his home has been jailed. Aaron Kyle, 29, of Lochleven Road, admitted producing the controlled drug on July 25 last year at his then home in Walker Street, Lochgelly. Seventeen cannabis plants were found, each valued at £280. Solicitor Stephen Morrison said his client suffered from depression after his partner left him and started using cannabis. Sheriff Charles MacNair said: “It’s quite clear to those who go in for these sort of activities what they face if they are caught.” Kyle was jailed for 160 days for the drugs offence and a further three months for breaching a community payback order.
