Thirteen people have run the Edinburgh half marathon in memory of a Dundee United fan who died of cancer in December.
After Linzi Craig, 22, from Newport, passed away after a battle with skin cancer, her boyfriend Darren Reid and his friends decided to raise money for the Melanoma Focus charity.
Over £5,000 was raised through sponsor sheets and the #Run4Linzi JustGiving page, with the figure expected to rise to £6,000.
A bus of 49 supporters went through to the event to support the racers as they tackled the 13 mile course.
Darren said: “It’s been an unbelievable success and a great tribute. I’ve even been sent in money from Canada, Australia and the USA.”
