A globally eminent psychiatrist is to open an exhibition of his artwork in Dunfermline today.
Phil McLoughlin, former director of studies at the department of psychiatry in Ninewells Hospital, became one of the world’s leading authorities on mental health recovery.
He returned to art in 2010 and his show The Meaning of Things will run at Fire Station Creative until July 3.
McLoughlin, originally from Dunfermline, was a founding member of the Dundee Group (Artists) at Forebank Studios in the 1970s when he painted under the name Phil Barker.
His exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh six years ago led to a string of awards.
