Lifeboat crews in Fife had a busy weekend rescuing walkers stranded in caves at Elie and a drifting speedboat.
Five people were trapped in caves at Kincraig Point.
The skipper of a passing boat saw the group and raised the alarm.
It is thought they may have been cut off at high tide in the drama which unfolded just after 4pm.
Both the inshore and all-weather lifeboats from Anstruther RNLI were called out and ferried them unhurt to the shore at Shell Bay.
A spokesman for HM Coastguard said: “We called out the two lifeboats from Anstruther and a number of Coastguard teams in case we had to do a cliff rescue.
“The people were in need of evacuation from the caves and were brought safely to shore.”
After assisting a broken down speedboat for the second time, Kinghorn RNLI issued a warning to boat owners to ensure their vessels were maintained.
The boat’s engine had failed and it was drifting north of Cockenzie.
The two people on board had raised the alarm by mobile phone and Kinghorn Lifeboat volunteers were paged at around 4.20pm on Saturday.
