A French aero touring club which is visiting Scotland this year will make Fife Airport their first port of call tonight.
Thirty-five French aviators aboard 15 aircraft from Rallye Aero France will fly into the small airport near Glenrothes and be greeted by members of Fife Flying Club.
The aircraft are a variety of two and four-seat light aircraft types, including Cessna, Piper, Socata, Mooney and Cirrus – a real treat for aircraft enthusiasts.
The French club has previously visited London Biggin Hill and Duxford airport in Cambridgeshire, and will go on to airfields at Inverness, Broadford in Skye and Oban before calling at Thruxton in Hampshire and Jersey before returning to France.
While they are in Scotland, the French group will be visiting tourist sites in Edinburgh, Stirling, Fife and the Highlands.
