Five people from Forth Ports will attempt the gruelling 54 mile Cateran Yomp this weekend to raise money for The Soldiers’ Charity.
The Perthshire yomp is an adventure challenge where teams trek across countryside over a 24 hour period.
The team from Forth Ports Scotland are Jason Thirlwall, John Reid, Graeme Tweedie, Scott Mitchell-Lay and Craig Wright.
Forth Ports donated £1,000 and also provided the team with all the wearable kit they will need. The team hopes to raise more than £3,000.
Jason said: “The charity is close to my heart being an ex-soldier and I know this yomp will be tough for the team so we have been training hard and increasing our distance covered over the past few months.
“We know it will be a challenge and we expect many blisters, but we are looking forward to it.”
