A man appears to have had a lucky escape after his car overturned on the A92 between Kirkcaldy and Lochgelly.
The accident happened on the westbound stretch of the carriageway at around 10.30am, between the A910 Kirkcaldy West junction and the B9149 Lochgelly slip road.
Police confirmed that the green Vauxhall Astra involved came off the road and landed on its roof.
However, the male driver managed to get out of the vehicle and was treated by paramedics at the scene for shock.
The incident led to lengthy tailbacks in and around the area, however, while emergency services worked to clear debris.
