Organisers of Kirkcaldy’s Beach Highland Games will be hoping the weather stays pleasant for the only event of its kind in the UK today.
Last year’s inaugural Beach Highland Games proved to be so successful that the games will make a return to the waterfront from 10.45am.
A parade and pipe band will march along the Storm Road from the Memorial Plaque opposite Volunteers Green, before the Lord Provost of Fife, Jim Leishman, conducts the official opening ceremony at 11.
Then all the action gets under way on the beach with the running and heavy events, with Highland dancing on the Storm Road.
