Two schools in Fife have beaten off stiff competition in this year’s Scottish Education Awards with Kirkton of Largo Primary winning two awards – the first school in the history of the national awards to win two.
Kirkton of Largo PS was crowned the winner in both the ‘Health and Wellbeing’ and ‘Learning Through Technology’ categories, while Thornton Primary pipped Kirkcaldy High for the Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Award.
Councillor Bryan Poole, Fife’s education spokesperson, said: “We have a fantastic track record in these awards and it’s very heartening to see the skill and commitment of our schools nationally recognised.”
