Residents of Glenrothes will unite next weekend to pay tribute to those who have died serving their country.
Members of the Glenrothes branch of the Royal British Legion will host a wreath laying ceremony at the town’s war memorial next Saturday, to mark Armed Forces Day.
The ceremony, at the Church Street memorial, opposite the town centre bus station, will start at 10.55am with a number of town local officials expected to attend.
Though a New Town, Glenrothes has suffered several losses in recent conflicts involving British armed forces, with MSP Jenny Gilruth and Fife Depute Provost Kay Morrison among those expected to be in attendance.
