Highland dancing is just one of the events cancelled
Newburgh Highland Games have been cancelled.
The traditional games were due to kick off at 12.30pm on Saturday, but have fallen victim to the prolonged rainy weather.
The games’ venue, Robbies Park, has become waterlogged leaving disappointed organisers with no option but to cancel the spectacle.
It is not the first time the games have had to be cancelled for this reason. Last year’s event was the first in some time that had actually managed to take place.
Newburgh’s traditional coble boat race is still on course to take place on Saturday June 25
