Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was assaulted at a Dunfermline taxi rank on Sunday.
A 33-year-old was taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital following the incident, which took place on St Margaret Street, near Dunfermline Library, at 3.30am.
He has since been discharged.
Detective Sergeant Kieran Marsh of Dunfermline police station urged anyone with information to come forward.
He said: “We’re investigating an incident where two men were involved in an altercation with each other at the taxi rank on St Margaret Street during the early hours of Sunday.
“At least one of the men has suffered injuries and we are reviewing CCTV from the area to identify the other man involved.
“He is described as being in his 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 5ft 11ins tall, blonde/fair hair, and was wearing a blue and white vertical striped shirt. We believe he had been within Lorenzo’s nightclub beforehand.
“I would appeal for that man to contact us as a matter of urgency if he recognises himself from the description.”
