The wife of a Fife biker has described her heartbreak at losing her soulmate just three months after their wedding.
Zak Watson, of Crossgates, was fatally injured in a collision with a van on the A907 at Bogside last Thursday.
He and Michelle, 33, had only been married since April.
Mrs Watson wrote on her Facebook page: “I have lost my soulmate, the man I was to spend the rest of my life with.
“Zak was the most amazing guy I’ve ever met. We loved each more than words can say. I just cannot believe this is happening. Words cannot describe the pain I feel in my heart right now.”
As tributes to Mr Watson, 31, poured in, she thanked all who had offered condolences.
“To know so many people are thinking of me is a comfort,” she said.
“This is the darkest I’ve ever felt. I didn’t know it was this possible to feel so much pain in my heart. My heart is broken and I don’t (know) if it will ever mend.”
Mr Watson was president of the Blue Angels Fife motorcycle club and well known throughout the biker community.
At the start of April, the couple were married in Dunfermline to the roar of 50 motorcycles when fellow bikers turned up to wish them well.
As news of his death spread, motorcycle clubs from home and abroad paid tribute.
John Masson, secretary of Glasgow club Willie Gee MCC, said: “On behalf of everyone at Willie Gee MCC we would like to offer our condolences to the Blue Angels MC who lost a brother club president Zak Watson of the Fife chapter in a tragic accident.
“We would also like to extend our condolences to his wife Michelle. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.”
A branch of the Blue Angels in Belgium also offered condolences adding: “Ride free, see you on the other side. So sad.”
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened on the A907 west of Devilla Quarry at around 7.05pm on Thursday July 14.
Mr Watson’s bike was involved in a collision with a Ford Transit van.
Sergeant Derek Allan from the road policing unit in Glenrothes said: “Anyone who was on the A907 on Thursday evening and witnessed the incident is asked to contact police immediately.”
