A boy has been charged following an alleged assault of a teacher with a drinks can at the new Levenmouth Academy.
Police confirmed that a male had been reported to the Children’s Reporter.
The alleged incident involving a can of Irn Bru took place on Thursday.
It was revealed by a Tweet from Levenmouth Police which said that a 14-year-old had been charged.
The post, later deleted, included the hashtag #fullfatirnbrutae.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “A male has been charged in connection with an assault in Levenmouth on Thursday, September 8.
“A report has been sent to the Children’s Reporter.”
It added: “Police Scotland took the decision to remove the tweet in order to preserve the legal process and to protect all parties involved.”
