The theft took place between Friday and Monday in Pitreavie Business Park. At least seven gas canisters were taken, most of which are used in welding but one of which contained helium. Detective Sergeant Kelly McEwan, of Dunfermline CID, said: “Given the number and weight of canisters stolen, it’s likely that a vehicle was used. “Anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour in the area, or have information on the whereabouts of the canisters, is urged to get in touch.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
