A multi-car traffic collision has slowed traffic south of the Forth Road bridge.
The southbound carriageway has been partially blocked between Ferrytoll and Admiralty on the A90, due to a multi-vehicle collision near the Forth Road bridge.
The incident also affected traffic on the northbound carriageway.
Police, Ambulance and officers from Scottish Fire and Rescue were in attendance at the scene.
It is understood two vehicles were involved in the incident and Scottish Fire and Rescue officers extracted an injured male from one of the cars which required the roof to be removed.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for suspected spinal injuries.
Scottish Fire and Rescue officers made the scene safe once the man had been removed from the car and taken to hospital.
