Police have released images of a missing Fife man.
Ian Marr, 40, was last seen at the BP petrol station on Main Street in Colinsburgh at around 11am on Wednesday, after he left an address in Peter Howling Place in Anstruther.
His car, a silver Subaru Impreza, was last seen travelling westbound on the M80 in North Lanarkshire just over an hour later, with no trace of him having been seen since.
Mr Marr has a number of links across the UK and it is not clear at this time where he was heading.
Inspector Nicola Black of Cupar police station said: “As part of our ongoing search effort to find Ian we have successfully secured CCTV images that were taken not long after he left Anstruther.
“He has then traveled to North Lanarkshire however we don’t know where he has gone after this point.
“We’ve significant concern for Ian’s welfare and are extremely keen to hear from anyone who has seen him, particularly other motorists who may have spoken to him in the petrol station.
“Even a small piece of information may hold a vital clue as to his whereabouts.
“We know that he has a number of links across the country including in the Braemar area and parts of England, and he may be travelling to one of these locations.”
Anybody with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
