A man is to stand trial accused of murdering his own sister. Elizabeth Bowe, 50, was found at a flat in Bobby Jones Place in St Andrews on September 17. She was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee but died around midday on Tuesday September 20. Her brother, Charles Gordon, appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday facing a single charge of murder. He made no plea or declaration during the hearing and was judicially examined by Sheriff Alastair Brown. No application for bail was made and the case was fully committed for trial. Gordon was remanded in custody ahead of further court dates being set.
