Arsonists have struck Kirkcaldy’s only junior football club, destroying years worth of memorabilia and expensive equipment in the process.
Staff and players involved with Kirkcaldy YM Junior Football Club were shocked to see portable cabins at their Denfield Park ground targeted in the past week, and a later attack on Friday has now effectively left the club without facilities for visiting teams.
It is just the latest in a string of vandalism incidents which have blighted the club in recent months, with the club’s dugouts daubed with spray paint on no less than three occasions over the summer.
Police have appealed for any information to help catch the culprits, amid fears that local youths may be to blame.
