Fans of legendary rock band Nazareth have been gathering in Dunfermline ahead of the band’s homecoming concert on Saturday night.
The gig at the Glen Pavilion promises to a poignant occasion following the recent death of the band’s long-time roadie, Dunfermline man Robert Kennedy.
The concert will also see Carl Sentance in the role of frontman following the retirement for health reasons of founder member Dan McCafferty in 2013.
The only remaining member of the original line-up from the late 1960s is bass player Pete Agnew, who recently turned 70 but shows no sign of slowing down.
The band have been playing gigs in Germany this week before flying back tomorrow for their rare home town appearance.
The band had a string of chart hits in the 1970s and have a huge following in countries as far apart as Russia, Brazil and the USA.
Fans have travelled to Dunfermline from as far off as Canada for this weekend’s concert.
There are still some tickets available and they can be purchased via Ticketweb.co.uk or at the door.
