A popular Indian restaurant in Dunfermline was closed on Sunday after a fire broke out in its attic.
The blaze started at The Viceroy shortly before 3pm while staff were preparing for diners.
No one was hurt and the fire was confined to the ducting in the Queen Anne Street premises.
However, to allow firefighters to deal with the incident part of Bruce Street was shut.
The restaurant is expected to remain closed until Wednesday, to allow inspections to be conducted.
A spokesperson said: “All our staff are fine, the building hasn’t burned down and it hasn’t affected any of the other buildings, so we have been lucky.
“It was dealt with very quickly. Another five or 10 minutes and the fire could have spread.”
