Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the safety of a Glenrothes teenager who has not been seen for a week.
Kieran Elston, 15, was last seen in the Auchmuty area of the town on Tuesday November 8 but has not returned home since.
Officers believed Kieran may be in the Kirkcaldy area, or within Edinburgh, where he also has connections.
Anyone who knows the 15-year-old’s current whereabouts has been asked to come forward as soon as possible.
Kieran is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall with a slim build, short brown hair and was last seen wearing a green/grey bobble hat, black jeans, blue Adidas canvas trainers and a green hooded top.
Inspector Joanne McEwan, of Glenrothes Police, said: “Kieran has now been missing for a week and there is growing concern regarding his wellbeing.
“Kieran knows the Kirkcaldy area well and we are focusing our inquiries within this area, as well as within Edinburgh.
“I would urge anyone who knows where we can find Kieran to contact police immediately so we can ensure he is safe and well.”
