A man has appeared in court accused of drink-driving on the wrong side of the road and causing a collision in which a woman was badly injured.
Costel Ghiurca, 42, of Hilton Road, Rosyth, appeared in private from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
It is alleged on November 19 in Tern Road, Dunfermline and elsewhere, he drove a van having consumed excess alcohol, more than three times over the limit.
It is further alleged that in Tern Road, he caused serious injury to a woman by driving dangerously on the wrong side of the carriageway around a corner, colliding with a car in which the woman was a passenger.
Ghiurca made no plea and no declaration. He was committed for further examination and granted bail with the condition that he surrendered his passport and identity documents. He must also report to a police station each week.
