Police are “following a positive line of inquiry” after a teenager was the victim of a serious sexual assault in Anstruther. An 18-year-old woman was attacked in Cunzie Street at around 1am on Sunday November 20. Police Scotland has now moved to reassure the public. A force spokeswoman said: “The investigation is currently ongoing and officers are following a positive line of inquiry. “There is not thought to be any risk to the public, however anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
