The A92 was blocked for over an hour on Wednesday following a crash involving a trailer containing bulls near Cowdenbeath.
Pictures from the scene appear to show an overturned vehicle and trailer blocking the road.
It is understood that there were no injuries to the people involved or the three bulls in the trailer.
The road was fully closed for nearly an hour from 3.05pm, but the eastbound lane reopened at 3.50pm.
The A92 fully reopened at 4pm.
Traffic was at a standstill on the A92 while emergency services were on the scene.
Traffic Scotland urged road users to use caution on approach and allow extra time for their journey.
An eyewitness said: “The pickup and trailer was swaying over the road and then turned on its side.
“There were three passengers in the car and three bulls in the trailer.
“No one appeared to be hurt, but they sent two ambulances and also the fire brigade.”
Bulls unharmed after A92 crash
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers attended at a crash involving vehicle with a trailer at the A92 Cowdenbeath interchange which happened around 2.40pm.
“The road has re-opened.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 14:42 with report of a RTC on the A92 near Cowdenbeath.
“Two appliances were sent out.”
