Police in Fife have today released an image of a 58 year-old man they wish to trace in connection with a serious assault at a home in Kirkcaldy last month.
The incident happened on Tuesday, November 1, within an address in Craigmount.
A 45-year-old woman suffered serious injuries to her upper body, which required medical treatment.
It is believed Steven Douglas, who is pictured, can assist with the ongoing investigation and he or anyone who has seen him is asked to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Craig Fraser, of Kirkcaldy CID, said: “This was an extremely violent attack that left the woman fearing for her safety and we are keen to arrest the person responsible.
“We have today released an image of a man we wish to speak with in connection with this matter and urge anyone who has seen him to contact police immediately.”
