Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses after an alleged assault on a road worker in Kincardine earlier this month.
The incident happened on Toll Road at its junction with North Approach Road, Kincardine, at about 8.30 pm on Friday December 2, when a 46-year-old road worker was assaulted.
At the time of the alleged offence, part of the road was closed to allow a wide load vehicle to pass through safely.
What police then describe as an “altercation” took place between the driver of a dark coloured vehicle and the road worker.
PC Kevin Hall, of Dunfermline Police Station, said: “We are keen to trace the driver of a dark coloured vehicle that stopped at the road works on Toll Road.
“The driver is described as being about 5ft 7in tall and of skinny build. He spoke with an English accent.
“He was wearing a grey hat and a black jacket.
“If anyone has any information regarding this incident, then please contact us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
