The mishmash of extreme selfies and Elf on a Shelf by the Old Course Experience has attracted dozens of likes after being uploaded to Facebook.
The most recent image shows the elf – who staff have named Bo-Jangles – perched on a chimney pot at the Hamilton grand, which overlooks the 18th green of the Old Course.
Other images show the adventurous creature scaling a Christmas Tree which dwarfs him in size, as well as being locked in a biscuit jar by other disgruntled mascots in the office.
The Old Course Experience offers golf packages to those looking to play on the world-famous course.
Extreme selfies is a phenomenon which sees social media users take self-portraits in challenging and dangerous locations, while Elf on the Shelf is one of Santa’s helpers sent to ensure children behave in the run up to Christmas.
Each morning he or she can be found in a new pose, having visited the North Pole to report back to Santa during the night.
